【Function and indications】
Carboplatin is a broad-spectrum anti-tumor drug. It has no cross-resistance with other anti-tumor drugs, but has cross-resistance with DDP. The drug is easy to dissolve, does not require hydration, diuresis, and is easy to use.
(1) It is mainly used for small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, testicular tumors, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, etc. For small cell lung cancer, the remission rate of this product alone is 60%; the total remission rate of combined treatment with Vp-16 and IFO is 78%; the remission rates of ovarian epithelial cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma are 65% and 29% respectively.
(2) It can be used for non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, cervical cancer, pleural mesothelioma, melanoma and endometrial cancer.
(3) It can also be used for digestive system tumors, liver cancer, etc. and radiation enhancement therapy.
【Model and specification】
Injection: 100mg/vial. Powder injection: 50mg, 100mg, 150mg, 450mg.
【Usage and Dosage】
(1) Intravenous drip or intravenous injection: one-time administration, 300~400mg/m2 each time, repeated every 28 days, children can increase to 560mg/m2; continuous administration for 5 days, 100mg/time, or 50~70mg/m2 each time. Dilute with normal saline or 5% glucose injection.
(2) Intrathoracic and abdominal injection: the dose is higher than intravenous administration.
【Precautions】
(1) Before using this product, dissolve it with 10ml of normal saline or 5% glucose injection, then dilute it with 250-500ml of 5% glucose injection, and drip it intravenously for half an hour or 1 hour. When using CBP, although hydration is not necessary, patients should be encouraged to drink more water and keep the urine output at about 2000ml per day.
(2) After dissolving, this product should be used up within 8 hours and protected from light.
(3) This product is only for intravenous administration, and leakage outside the blood vessel should be avoided.
(4) This product should avoid contact with aluminum compounds and should not be mixed with other drugs for infusion.
(5) Blood picture, liver and kidney function, etc. should be checked regularly before and during medication.
(6) During medication, patients should be followed up for hearing, neurological function, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine clearance and serum creatinine determination, hematocrit, hemoglobin determination, white blood cell classification and platelet count, serum calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium determination.
[Adverse Reactions]
(1) Bone marrow suppression: It is a dose-limiting toxicity. Long-term high-dose administration can cause a decrease in platelets, hemoglobin, and white blood cells. It usually occurs 14 to 21 days after medication and recovers 3 to 4 weeks after stopping the medication.
(2) Gastrointestinal reactions: loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting, which are milder than DDP.
(3) At conventional doses, it has no significant effect on liver, kidney, and heart function.
(4) Adverse reactions such as neurotoxicity, ototoxicity, alopecia, and dizziness are lower than DDP, and allergic reactions are occasionally seen. Neurotoxicity refers to numbness or tingling in the toes, which has an accumulation effect; ototoxicity first occurs with high-frequency hearing loss, and tinnitus is occasionally seen.
(5) Allergic reactions (rash or itching, occasionally wheezing), which occur within a few minutes after use
[Contraindications]
People with obvious bone marrow suppression and liver and kidney dysfunction, pregnant women and those with serious complications, and those who are allergic to this product or other platinum preparations and mannitol are prohibited from using this product.
[Storage]
Carboplatin should be stored at room temperature away from light.
